Shihoin Yoruichi!!!!!

*Cough cough!… No not you…. I mean…

SHIHOIN YORUICHI!!!

Ok… 1st of all… this is prolly one of the hardest Guardians to master…. 1st of all, you’re stuck with 35 life… much like Orihime, Yoruichi CANNOT survive an EL DIRECTO from Chad… another thing is her ability… now its a very very useful ability since there’s nothing in your hand that you cant play provided that you have the right amount of energy…

Another thing is her ability’s drawback… yeah you have to pay 1 power everytime you use her ability… it does suck in a way… but with a couple of Questionable Logics on your deck I’m sure all that pinging will finally pay off…

Anyway, here’s a couple of new Yoruichi cards from Bounts…

1. Yoruichi – Helpful: Now I dont really know… this card allows you to enjoy your Yoruichi guardian’s ability more… Although she might actually get in the way of another Yoruichi in your hand, I think she’s pretty good.

2. Yoruichi – Unabashed: WOW!!! Reveal your hand? and she gets +4?! to all stats!?!? thats like paying for a 4 drop 6 stat O__O. Now this card’s gotta hurt! of course with your element of surprise as payment for her services lol… Unlike Momo emotional, Yoruichi doesnt need a specific character in play… just another cute female for more lesbo lockdown LOL

Well… this card may come in handy…

Bleach: discussing the game’s lifespan

Here goes…

Bleach TCG: At 1st I kinda thought it was just another fanboy anime trading card game that would eventually phase out… much like Animania (the 1st anime TCG I was exposed to) and Yuyu Hakusho…

Pokemon did a pretty good job at maintaining its community… though I’m not a big fan of Pokemon, I admire the fact that I still see people playing it despite the fact that it started when I was in 1st yr. Highschool…

I wasnt that much of a Yu-gi-Oh! fan either… I think the game is too simple and contains a lot of imbalanced cards… no I’m not taslking about staples…. I mean all I hear… is BAN BAN BAN BAN BAN BAN!

though the community is pretty big (Yes you can see them at Courtside Galleria every Saturday), that alone is enough to know that Yu-gi-Oh! is still alive and kicking…

Bleach’s system is a mixture WOW, Magic, The spoils and Netrunner… the game is quite enjoyable much like any other Western-based TCG…

The game currently has 4 expansions…

1. Premiere

2. Soul Society

3. Seiretei

4. Bankai

The 5th one, entitled BOUNTS has yet to arrive here in the Philippines…

As you may have noticed… the expansions follow the storyline (of the anime)… more fillers mean more cards… as for the TCG’s lifespan… I wonder…

“Will Bleach die when the anime ends? if so… will the anime end soon?”

Sad to say but… its not Yu-gi-Oh!… when the story ends… it ends… there wouldnt be any Bleach DXs… or Bleach DX # Reload Gunlock Slash Accent Core part 3… its easy to make pokemons and its easy to make new cards… but Bleach TCG concentrates on the STORYLINE

WoW may find itself in the same situation… since its based on the MMO’s storyline… I wonder what happens after they unleash the Lich King…

Games like Magic the gathering and VS System (Games with unlimited resources) still has the upper advantage when it comes their TCG’s lifespan… all they have to do is create a new block with a new set of characters/allies/creatures/heroes (or whatever you wanna call em)…

Funny fact… MagictheGathering destroyed Dominaria (World of Magic) and started all over again… hence the Mirrodin block… I doubt Bleach and WoW are capable of doing the same thing…

Well…. the only thing we can do is enjoy the game… and hope it lasts ^__^

RRRRING!!!! Hello?: preparing for Bounts

1). Payphone

Deplete?! are you serious? deplete?! dont we have to f*cking discard that thing after use?

Now other than the good cards I mentioned in my past entries…I’d also like to re-discuss “Payphone”…

On a regular game… my student deck would try to pull out the 1 drop Keigo and Chizuru on the 1st turn… but since its a must to have Kanisawa on the 2nd turn… This card would definitely come in handy… I could prolly pull out Chizuru and attach this to her on the 1st turn then deplete her at the start of my next turn, fetching Kanisawa before my mandatory draw… then Shuhei on the 3rd turn… then Orihime (yes the healing bitch)…

I’m seeing a totally flawless curve here… sacrificing Chizuru’s option to attack wouldnt matter… as long as I dont run out of students I’m completely fine with it…

Anyway… this card is good for almost any deck that uses body energy (or take some time pulling out energy cards outside the curve)… either way… the benefits of having this card on the 1st turn (or any other turn) is just way awesome! especially when your deck needs a specific character on a specific turn…

Fotress decks like Squad 1/3 needs to play Gin-smug ASAP…now if you think about it, Payphone is like Repentance Cell Guards over and over again (just not in your hand).

Forgive me for muttering over and over again… just trying to stress a point…

2). Ichigo – Hanging On

Good news for Masaki users!

Not only can you deplete opposing characters… now Ichigo can hit twice as hard XD

Relentless Assault can be a real B!tch… but just as you thought Ichigo was too tired to hit you again after smashing your face with Zangetsu….. TADAAAAAA!

3). Ichigo – Rushing In

“Ok! LOL! Ichigo kicked my ass twice!!! but your time is up man!!! cuz I still got 5 power!”

“Ehe… ehehehee”

“What the f*ck are you laughing at?”

” (mumbles some stupid fanboy line and mimics Ichigo’s jap voice) “

BOOM!!!

Ok… Ichigo attacking for the fourth time would really suck… lets count…

(lets say our opponent was wide open due to Masaki’s ability)

Ichigo looking to spar would get a total of 7 to all stats when Zangetsu is attached to him.. hitting your opponent with relentless assault would really hurt him… the third attack that Ichigo Hanging On would generate would add 7 more… giving your opponent a total damage of 21…

then… this guy pops out… giving you 10 more damage (since he would attack together with the other Ichigo)… thats like… 31 Damage O__o another Hanging On and it would be overkill…

Tight bitterness towards Squad 5…

Ok here we are… BOUNTS!!! yeah… it brought a lot of new options for deckbuilders… all except for Squad 5… WOW… the least they could do was make a Momo-comatose or better yet… Sosuke-Stabbing the girl :) )

now yeah… there are tons of new abilities… really good ones… but Damn it I’d rather use it for another deck…

Bounts solutions: Extra KICKS for Squad 4?

Exactly how many Squad 4 decks have we seen so far? if we look at the current top decklists in other countries we wont be able to see RETSU UNOHANA… why? heal heal heal 100 life heal heal 200 life? heal heal!… since when did a Squad 4 deck ever win the regionals? hmmm… well… I guess its because Kenpachi is just too darn powerful for their healing crap…LOL! Dont get me wrong… I love Squad 4… and I think Retsu is just way hotttttttt! in fact, I’ve tried building a Squad 4 just for kicks… and well… other than the subset Isane and Retsu…………………………… …. ……………….. ……….

I was left with a healing Hanataro, another healing Hanataro, the blonde secretary guy, a couple of non-unique soulreapers and MORE HANATAROS!!!… ok…. I did some research but was unable to see a worthy Squad 4 build… prolly because they still lack cards… much like Quincy decks..

The curve was terrible and quite puzzling… you get the right curve then suddenly your next draw requires more body energy… although they do make up for massive healing… HEAL HEAL HEAL HEAL… HEAL!!!

We also have a new Hanataro that’s yet to be revealed…

Now when Bounts arrives, if this new Hanataro (that fits well in the curve) would want a piece of Ganju… here’s Pyromaniac… Thinking about it in a way….. this 3rd drop Ganju can trigger 3-6 damage on a regular turn.. especially since 3rd turn = 3 characters… on the other hand… this Pyromaniac would hurt Hollow users more… and since he costs -2 energy to play, that means you now have a “curvewise” yet painful Ganju! need more? then put down another Hanataro if you dont have another Ganju to overlay him with for another round of…

*cough cough

The-One-and-Only-Original-Kukaku-Brand-Chili-Pepper-Smoke-Bomb-with-Bloody-Tears-Effect!!

Add 2-3 Hanataros to your deck and your 3rd turn Ganju (Or whatever turn you’d like) is as good as played lol. well… too bad you can only use his ability twice… but with a card that returns stuff to your deck…. I guess that’d hurt a lot O__O

not to mention Ganju’s stats are pretty good for a character with a really good ability. (Awww… and the soulreapers say Hanataro was useless…)

Whew! those two seem inseparable!! I’m not sure about this one… seems potent though the drawback is quite painful… more like a desperation move!

WTF!!!fillers get good cards: Rediscussing Bounts

I browsed through a couple of Bounts previews on the net… and then I said…

“Whatthef#ckingdisastrouscomicalnameofmotherf#ckinggodisthat!??!”

(its merely my opinion)

Lets start with this one..

1).QQ: isnt it beautiful? a rather potent removal card that cant be “Checked”… at 1st I didnt know why it was called QQ… its weird… you have a very depressed Kon on the card… and its called QQ… a friend of mine
managed to shed some light on how it got its name.. “Q” is also used for our everyday emoticons…. much like “YY”, QQ represent Kon’s big teary eyes O__O. Anyway… enough about that… I wanna make something clear…

This card… is a staple… A REALLY BIIIG STAPLE…

If you can remember this card…

Yeah Double team has its perks… but Spirit/Mind based decks would have a hard time pulling it out… not to mention decks that dont support swarming…

QQ however has a rather cheap cost and could apply to almost any deck possible (*Cough I might have exaggerated) but here’s the thing… if you are using a Mind/Spirit based deck… just pull 1 body energy from your side deck and that pesky character is as good as Zilch!

2). Thumbs up: Ok… now who can ever resist drawing 2 cards? another glorious version of the “The Mr. Kan’onji Challenge”, the only catch is that you can only play this card on your opponent’s main step… it also shares the “renew your energy” effect but this time by playing 3 cards after Thumbs up…. now I’d actually prefer “TMKC” over this card but this one is currently available in Urahara’s Shop for 50 points each… HOG THE STOCKS!!!

this card can fit in almost any deck, of course considering the fact that it’s currently being hogged even as we speak…

3). Bounts Forever: Now I dont know whats been up… but it seems that a lot of cards are getting nerfed because of this… 25 Souls…. and you win the game… 25 souls… and you win the game…. 25 souls… and you win the game… Win the game… WIN THE GAME…. WIN THE GAME… Win the game?!?!

Getting souls depend on how your Guardian harvests them (Forgive the term)… Cards like “The Chase is on” & “Ichigo: Flabbergasted” Have been nerfed because of this card I think… What can possibly stop Bounts forever other than Soi Fon? O__o are we gonna have to put in more staples the same way Hollows made “Shoot to kill” a must have card? hmm… Not to mention the doll part…

Our best bet is to “QQ” the doll in response to Bounts forever and hope they dont have another one in their hand.

4) Entering the lair of the Bounts: Ok… what the hell… now we have another Peace at last card… giving “Bountards” a chance to set up their souls… allow me to quote “YOU DO NOT TAKE POWER DAMAGE THIS TURN” O__O

Anyway… getting sleepy… will highlight more stuff about Bounts tomorrow….

The Aizen Evil deck that works… PWNZ time W0oT!!

So far… people told me how obsolete Squad 5 was…

INTRODUCING!!! THE EVIL AIZEN DECK OP TOTAL DOOOOM! :) )

4 Momo emotional (I have no idea… but Sosuke seems to come out often so why not right? D)

this deck is weird… but it works :) and I still managed to use Aizen as my guardian… lets see shall we?

Here’s a nice Aizen card… although its cheap… it helps me prepare for my 2nd turn :) since after he depletes on the 2nd turn… I get this!!!

I can get a lot of these later in the game… twas my 1st goal actually… but then I got a lot of options..

I cant do anything about healing characters… but as for defenders… :)

Boosting is also good since If I had 2 mantis hollows in my hand… they would each boost 2 FOR. then upon boosting I would deplete 2 hollows to make em boost again… if I had 6 ready hollows then… that’d mean Fishbone D would deal… 20 damage O__O WAW! but of course I’d only do it if my INT hollows cant attack…

Smarming is only for show… but of course it’d hurt a lot if noone blocked it… that’d just ruin the fun… talk about Chad Hollows. O__O.
What happened to Squad 5?

Well… I removed Gin… but Momo stays… nothing like a nice 6 Stat girl to stall my opponents lol

I also kept the 5 drop sosuke… for more INT madness :)

Well… truth be told I couldve used Solemn escort instead of random buffs like right in the eye…

Solem Escort: rare106 = P 150

Bakudo 61- Six bars of light: Uncommon146 = P 40

I think it’ll go well with reunited… not to mention it being a bit more expensive than Bakudo 61…I know its not as effective as Bakudo 61… but as you can see… my resources are infinite… this one is probably easier to find… and I’d rather get it now than wait for Bakudo 61 later…

Double team would also come in handy since my characters have low energy costs… this way I can stall my enemies further…

Sayonara Aizen-sama…. ohayo! Orihime-chaaaan!!!

Well well well…. who would have thought the great Testament would resort to a “good” (alignment) deck?

Well since I’m too tired to deal with mankind… I decided to make a Student deck… its basically the soul reapers before they became… well…. Soul reapers :D .

Guardian: Orihime Inoue

yes the deck does use Orihime… why? well its because they’re all students (Duh)…

Unlike the others… Orihime doesnt have much life…. making her quite easy to kill… unlike Chad who gets “40″, Orihime cannot survive a nasty Chad punch :) )… so why choose her? lets see the cards shall we?

Guardian: Orihime Inoue

1st Drops: 2 energy

1st of all lets start with my early drops…. on the 1st turn I can put down 1-2 students… depends if I’m lucky… anyway…

Well… as you can see… during my 1st turn… I can PING my opponents using Inoue’s ability… hitting him for 2 to a minimum of 1 damage…. and of course like most 1st turns… I’d end it in a flash..

2nd and 3rd drops: 4-6 energy

Well well… of course we all know Kanisawa the 1 ep. wonder lol… yes the card is indeed lovable… … I also have Izuru, Momo, and Kaname.. … lets look at my primary drops…

Lets keep in mind that Orihime’s ability goes on as I keep putting down students… Kanisawa is my primary drop… can you guess how much she could hurt you with 7 students in play? lol

On the other hand… if you return a student using Momo… your opponent loses 1 power/ life… it also helps me save my Key cards like “Kanisawa”,Orihime and Mizuiro from ouchie cards like Passing over, Wrong again or Balance of souls… yeah true… what the hell can 1 damage do to a guy with 40 life? “A lot” think of it this way…not only can I use it for defense but for offense as well…

yes I know… they both have the same ability… and I actually put 3 of each in the deck… when you use Hinamori… it could lead to a devastating 3 damage PING…

Lets say we put Izuru/Kaname down… that hits em for 1… then we bring him back using Momo’s ability… so thats 2 damage including Izuru’s/Kaname’s Ping upon leaving play… then of course we put em down again for another ping. lol…

Besides swarming the enemy on the 3rd turn… Shuhei is an excellent choice… not only does he prevent your students from dying… he also deals a decent amount of 4 damage upon triggering his ability…

Solutions: Usual Student Setup

Ok… I usually draw hard after I place my 6 resources… but lets just say things got out of hand…

Yes… indeed I can bring people to my discard pile… a lot of em for that matter… now lets see the characters I would want to discard shall we?

A Student deck’s Offense and Defense:

yes… looks good doesnt it? as you may know I can return and discard over and over again… thanks to renji and Rukia… and if ever they are in danger… I have Shuhei and Momo… perfect isnt it? Since I have 2 Mizuiros in the deck I can return him for offense… or discard him for gaining… thats gain 9 each turn lol… leaving Kanisawa and Mizuiro to finish them off…

Are you gonna keep taking damage until you complete your setup?

But of course! although I must tell you… Orihime is not my only method of healing… as you can see… I have Questionable logic which heals me for 5… and First aid kit a rather potent healing item.

Pinging may take some time… which was why I added another combo to my concoction…

If you remember Helping out (image posted earlier), just because I put cards in my discard pile doesnt mean I’ll take em back just like that… here’s a good element of surprise…

If you remember… I said I had 2 Orihimes and 2 Mizuiros… I made sure I had a character of every energy cost from 1-7… this card helps me stop unwanted attackers…. or blockers :D

Anyway… as usual I’ll be using On the move and Stealth force Training grounds..

This works really well for my deck… especially since I rarely attack with more than 2 characters… lol
