Between entry 1 and entry 2

keinormalIt has begun. Plans lingering without the comforts of assurance and success. I managed to pay my patriarch for the TV… I’m still thinking about what type of business I could start. I was thinking of a community based shop… something that encourages people to play something that requires active purchasing. Yeah, it’s pretty similar to Trading card games. We could also open up our own gaming cafe (Console) since it’s practically a lot cheaper than food business. My parents are still itching me to go to their office. I know I’m their firstborn but I’m not really comfy with all that power. I’m sure you understand right?

It’s payday btw… I managed to get my pay in cold cash. It’s a lot higher than managerial pay but I shouldn’t be contented with this benchmark… or at least cuz my parents would tell me to earn more. It’s relatively hard to have parents who are overly successful. The expectations are just more than I could bear at the moment.

I haven’t touched my facebook for a while now. Kinda refreshing to actually answer a few surveys just to pass time. Blazblue is finally here… kinda brings back a lot of memories… In fact, I miss those days… Rai and I used to practice a lot, beating the crap out of each other to prepare for the tournament in Caloocan. When Guilty Gear died, so did the community. People would still access my forum in order to revive it, but I guess like any other fad, this one was destined to die as well.

Blazblue was the first grapevine I wrote for Playground. Kinda funny how Mitch and I remembered that while we were eating in Little Asia. The community is springing back to life. It was like the story took a 4 year leap… and now, team STB is back and ready to kick ass. The third member is no longer with us… especially since he’s too busy with work and all that crap. Kinda funny how everyone suddenly changed; besides, I remember being clagged in black the moment we all met. The Doctor, the manager and the heir… *Sigh*.

What was once the team of Asaki Videl, Rairyuusho and Xtreme have now been brought down to just Nicole and Kei. This is our iconoclasm…

It feels like Overture all over again. New characters and places spawned faster than Zerg Leeches. Dual Logic’s Keikun, Wesley, White Plains.

Anyway, for old time’s sake:

Melodramatic yes? TANG INA!!!!! BLAZBLUE NA!!!!

Between Arakune and Nerfing

Good news 1:

The bastard’s finally getting nerfed… a lot… According to ArcSys, their first priority is to nerf V-13. I guess the community’s getting all the support their need. At least we wont have to bear the Arakune rape any longer.

Balance patch scheduled for August! IRC log:

[04:39:36] <Whiz> AksysG: seriously though….arakune….the hell was yall thinking….that guy is just rude rofl
[04:39:41] <AksysG> LOL
[04:39:48] <AksysG> he’s getting nerfed, trust me LOL
[04:40:41] <AksysG> hahahaha
[04:40:51] <AksysG> lets just say come august
[04:40:56] <AksysG> we get a new patch
[04:41:02] <AksysG> that balances things out

[04:42:58] <AksysG> arakune will get nerfed
[04:43:02] <AksysG> theres no doubt about it

[04:47:07] <Chindogg> AksysG nerf v-13
[04:47:18] <AksysG> she will be
[04:47:25] <AksysG> she’s the top of the priority

If you were to ask me, Tager might need a couple of new moves. It seems that Tager players are all pissed with their tier disposition. Some of Blazblue’s strings are unpunishable, much like ending the string with a Bloom Trigger (Noel) or executing the sweep early enough to back dash  after block confirmation. This makes Tager’s life a lot harder than Potemkin’s, especially since Pot had the AWESOMEHATE Slide head attack that completely incapacitates his enemies long enough for him to get close and perform his combo. It’s actually the first time I saw a brute enter the low tier list. It’s not like Zangief had this problem back then in SF2.

As for Noel, I guess I’m pretty much contented since Arakune and V-13 are getting nerfed. Noel still has some bad matchups but that’s a given thing in every fighting game.

Good news 2:

Blazblue scored a 9.4 in IGN’s video game review… it’s slightly higher than Street Fighter’s 9.3. Seems that Blazblue is the highest rated Fighting game to ever hit the gaming industry. I guess the copyright battle for Guilty Gear kinda backfired… cuz now Arcsys has an award winning fighting game. Sega Sammy can keep Guilty Gear for all I care. No wonder Guilty Gear Overture didn’t have any returning characters besides Sol and Ky…

You could say that losing Guilty Gear was a blessing in disguise. Thanks to them… we now have Blazblue :)
